Crack Injection

Basement Wall Crack Repair Injection

Crack injection

Most basements, in time, will leak. Even if a crack is not leaking now, in time water will find it. While concrete cracks appear to be normal to a lot of home owners, it is not recommended to ignore them. Most homeowners generally find concrete cracks in their basement, either on the foundation wall or on the floor. They may also notice cracks on the garage floor, patio or in-ground pool.

Foundation cracks, if ignored, can become a big problem. Talk to Nova Dry today.

These cracks occur generally due to drying shrinkage, thermal movement or other causes. More often than not, a foundation crack will widen over time and result in water infiltration or possibly the loss of structural integrity. Foundation and slab cracks are not only an eyesore, but they may affect the value of the home while allowing damage due to water seepage.

Luckily, there is an easy way to repair and permanently seal such cracks without the need for costly and damaging excavation or weeping tile. Poured foundation cracks may be repaired by using low-pressure injection of a NOVA DRY FLEXIBLE RESIN material. For the repair of concrete floor cracks, we use NOVA DRY FLEXIBLE RESIN gravity fed material, designed for such slab repairs.

How crack injection works

NOVA DRY Flexible Resin fills the crack through the entire thickness of the wall (from front to back). The product will be pressure-injected into the concrete as a two-component liquid, and will quickly expand and cure to form a gasket seal which bonds the wall together. Prior to the crack injection, our technician will wash out the crack to remove any loose particles in the wall, as such loose particles can have an adverse effect on the repair.

Nova Dry Basements

Nova-Flex is a permanent solution for basement cracks.

This low-pressure injection is the best way to ensure that the crack is completely filled. This method is effective for filling cracks 0.002 to 1 inch wide in walls up to 12 inches thick. It can also be used to fill cracks in concrete floors, ceilings, and around pipes penetrating through the concrete. Some cracks may need additional repairs beyond just the injection, such as stitching with steel rebars for reinforcement, or carbon fiber reinforcement, or other extra procedures.  Let NOVA DRY BASEMENT SYSTEMS determine the most reliable, yet cost-effective way to fix your foundation crack forever.

If water is coming up through the floor, NOVA DRY BASEMENT SYSTEMS has the perfect solution for that, known as our NOVA WATER-DRAIN SYSTEM.

Inspecting Your Foundation: A Guide to Protect Your Home.

It's crucial to perform a complete inspection of the area around your foundation. A four-foot level, a tape measure, and a notebook are required for this. Make a quick drawing of your house and yard first. After that, use the level to determine the ground's slope surrounding your foundation. Inspect the ground for sections of sunken soil, garden beds with edging that sticks out and creates a dam, and slopes that point toward the house. Draw arrows on your sketch to indicate the direction of the earth's slopes. This action will assist you in creating a strategy for diverting water away from the foundation like using basement wall crack repair injection.
